In true game iteration cycle fashion, the team has fine-tuned every aspect of Cosmocadia since it’s original demo release in 2023, incorporating feedback to enhance gameplay, graphics, and mechanics. Cosmocadia History — Genesis Launch & Demo V1
On May 24th 2023 we released the anticipated first PC demo of Cosmocadia, alongside our genesis avatar collection of 5555 NFTs. With the whole collection selling out in 24 hours, our community immersed themselves in Cosmocadia, spending an average of 40 minutes per person in-game. This launch was highly successful and allowed us to leave our mark on the Sui ecosystem soon after mainnet. We even made an impact on the next generation of gamers, with our community members showing us their kids playing Cosmocadia.
The second demo was initially intended to expand on the foundation laid by the first, introducing new core mechanics such as cooking, fishing, expanded building and decorating options, to be widely on mobile devices as well as PC. However, after internal play testing and discussions, it became clear that this direction did not fully align with the essence of Cosmocadia. Taking this internal response into consideration and initial player input, we made the decision to reassess our approach. The Cosmocadia team concluded that we needed to refine our scope for production, art style, and core mechanics to better serve our team and community, to deliver the best possible product with a better quality of life.
New Colourful Beginnings — Cosmocadia 2.0
We reimagined Cosmocadia’s gameplay mechanics and art style to align with our new design approach. Returning to the basics, we addressed rough edges in gameplay and implemented numerous quality of life improvements. For instance, many features are now automated; your Cosmocadia avatar automatically chops/mines resources, creating quicker-paced gameplay and enhancing user experience by eliminating long waiting times for our core ‘build and gather’ mechanics.
In developing the new art style, our objective was to saturate the world of Cosmocadia with dynamic colours and evoke a whimsical cartoon-like charm, as the initial demo did not meet those expectations. All these changes resulted in shorter development cycles, faster production of assets, and aligned with Cosmocadia’s overarching vision.
Soft Launch Release
As of February 23rd, 2024, the team is proud to announce the soft launch of the latest version of Cosmocadia — a true representation of our aesthetic, mechanical, and scope aspirations. In this iteration, players can embark on an exciting adventure, mining, chopping, building, and exploring the island on all mobile devices.
Our goal with this release is to gather user data from across the globe to drive continuous improvement and to onboard new players into our colourful community.

Whats coming next?
After we receive data based on this soft launch we plan to analyse the data to see how we can continuously improve gameplay and quality of life. In future iterations players will be able to catch cute critters roaming around the island, and explore our secondary core mechanics.
Once the base game of Cosmocadia has been built, we will integrate blockchain technology so NFT holders can play with their avatars and expand their map with the snow and desert land NFTs.
